Questions for Tina.

What do you say when people say ...“Oh, Thai Food is too spicy for me.”

Reply:  “Actually, that’s a common misunderstanding.  There are more things on the menu that are sweet, nutty and mild than spicy.  You can always request mild on any dish too.  Tina also does an amazing steak, lamb chops, duck, salmon and sea bass.  If you get a chance, take a peek at the dinner menu, it’s unbelievable!”

Question:  “What is Thai Food like?

”Reply:  “Thai Food is similar to Chinese, except lighter.  The vegetables aren’t cooked as long, so it seems fresher. Thai sauces are lighter too.  They aren’t as thick because they use less cornstarch.  In General, Thai food is healthier than Chinese.”

Question:  “What makes Thai Tina’s different?”Reply:  “I know that they get all of their produce from local farmer’s markets.  They do a lot of their own shopping, always looking for the freshest products and ingredients. We never see a Ben E. Keith or Cysco delivery truck in this parking lot.”
Question:  “Do you know what kind of Thai Food it is?”Reply: “The cuisine of Thai Tina’s is inspired by the food of Tina’s homeland in North Eastern Thailand.  This region of Thailand, known as Isan, is one of the most rural, perfect for growing the fresh fruits and vegetables featured in this region’s cuisine.  Issan is an area famed for its "real" Thai hospitality and culture. For an experience a little closer to home, visit Thai Tina’s.”

More about our food at Thai Tina’s

Tina’s cuisine ranges from sweet and nutty to spicy with a lot of dishes in between.  On the sweet and nutty side is the Saute Peanut Sauce, which has a lot of fresh vegetables, and it’s always your choice if you want chicken, beef, pork, tofu, shrimp or just veggies.  The Pad Thai is a famous noodle dish that is also on the sweet and nutty side.
On the spicy end of the spectrum is anything Spicy Thai Basil, Thai Basil Seafood, Thai Basil Duck, Thai Basil Fried Rice and Saute Thai Basil.  They can “Thai Basil” just about anything!  Don’t worry, you can order it mild, medium, spicy, hot or Thai Hot.  Tina uses real fresh Thai Basil leaves in the Spicy Basil.
There are also several dishes that are in between, neither sweet nor spicy.  The Combo is a sauté dish with chicken, pork, beef and shrimp and has a lot of vegetables.  All the sauté dishes come with a side of steamed rice.  The Pad See Eew, Larnar and Pad Woonsen are all noodle dishes that come in a mild sauce that is neither sweet or spicy.
